THE ORCHESTRA, AN ARTISTIC COMPANY
Like a miniature company, an orchestra is a highly structured, hierarchical entity. The conductor, as leader of the organisation, is driven by the constant search for perfect harmony. The leaders of a company, like those of an orchestra, implement strategies to achieve optimal management. The concert is an equivalent of the completion of a project for a company, and rehearsals echo planning meetings, in which each team member must understand the challenge.

UNDERSTANDING / REVEALING: THE ORCHESTRAL COMPANY
The conductor lets you into the secrets and motivations for the smooth running of his musical ensemble, by highlighting the parallel between an orchestra and a company – talent management, general management, control of operating budget, production costs, programme planning, responsiveness to constraints, social aspects, growth, etc. – all the components of a real artistic enterprise will be revealed.
To better understand the driving force behind the life of an orchestra, the Artistic director of the OPPB will hold a mini conference on the major themes in music, giving you insight into the genius of and the mark made by the great composers in history.
MUSICAL QUIZZ & MINI CONCERT
Your employees will need to delve into their general knowledge to recognise well-known works and tunes. The OPPB, Pau Pays de Béarn Orchestra
With a growing reputation, the Pau Pays de Béarn Orchestra (OPPB) is a major contributor to Aquitaine cultural heritage. It now occupies a new place on the French symphony orchestra scene. Since its creation, the Orchestra has been conducted by Fayçal Karoui, whose career also led him to conduct at the Opéra de Paris, La Scala in Milan and the Vienna State Opera, after being musical director of the New York City Ballet for six years. He is also regularly invited to conduct at prestigious festivals with the OPPB or other orchestras, for example La Roque d’Anthéron, La Folle Journée in Nantes and Tokyo, the Festival de Menton and the Festival d’Annecy.
