HARNESSING INDIVIDUALS’ TALENTS FOR GROUP INITIATIVES

Led by several choirmasters, participants are divided up according to their voice type (soprano, alto, bass and tenor). These voices reveal their unique characteristics and hidden talents, blending together to form one!
After a brief training session, groups participate in a 2-hour workshop. Then they meet back for a 2-hour “plenary” group session, working towards the final performance, in which each talent finds its place in the group initiative. The morning will end with a lunch in a festive atmosphere.

The OPPB, Pau Pays de Béarn Orchestra
With a growing reputation, the Pau Pays de Béarn Orchestra (OPPB) is a major contributor to Aquitaine cultural heritage. It now occupies a new place on the French symphony orchestra scene. Since its creation, the Orchestra has been conducted by Fayçal Karoui, whose career also led him to conduct at the Opéra de Paris, La Scala in Milan and the Vienna State Opera, after being musical director of the New York City Ballet for six years. He is also regularly invited to conduct at prestigious festivals with the OPPB or other orchestras, for example La Roque d’Anthéron, La Folle Journée in Nantes and Tokyo, the Festival de Menton and the Festival d’Annecy.
